The Brazilian Reproducibility Network (BrRN) is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the Templeton World Charity Foundation (TWCF) to develop a new research project.

The project, led by Professor Olavo Amaral, will evaluate strategies aimed at promoting the adoption of open and reproducible practices in graduate programs across Brazil. This approach is grounded in the understanding that lasting change depends both on individual researcher training and on the alignment of institutional incentives and policies.

The project has a three-year timeline, and its activities span all of BrRN's core areas of work — metascience, training, community, and advocacy. All materials produced throughout the project will be made publicly available under open licenses.

TWCF is an organization that recognizes the importance of open science, understanding it as a process by which research data, methods, and findings are made accessible to all. To promote it, TWCF works across multiple fronts: building infrastructure, developing communities of practice, realigning incentives, influencing policy, and funding projects dedicated to its advancement.

Stay tuned for updates on the project on our website and social media!
