Ana Carolina Soares Marinho
AMBASSADOR
Ana Carolina holds a master’s degree in Psychobiology from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL). She is currently a member of the Center for Studies in Social Cognition at UNIFESP and a collaborator with FORRT (Framework for Open and Reproducible Research Training). Her proposal as an RBR Ambassador includes creating and offering an elective course on Open Science and Reproducibility; conducting an institutional mapping and developing a database with checklists of open practices; and producing and disseminating educational materials on responsible research practices.

Anderson Adaime de Borba
AMBASSADOR
Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), a master’s degree in Mathematics and Scientific Computing from UFSC, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computing from Mackenzie Presbyterian University (UPM). Since 2022, he has been a professor at UPM and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. His work focuses on applied mathematics, numerical methods, optimization, computer vision, computational statistics, and image processing, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, and machine learning. As an Ambassador of the Brazilian Reproducibility Network, he organizes events focused on open science and scientific reproducibility.

Daniela Boanares de Souza
AMBASSADOR
Daniela holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Centro Universitário UNA (2009), a master’s degree in Tropical Biome Ecology from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (2014), and a PhD in Plant Biology from UFMG (2020), including a sandwich period at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain (09/2018 – 03/2019). She works in the field of Plant Ecology, with an emphasis on Plant Ecophysiology, Plant Anatomy, and Plant Hydraulics. She has teaching experience at both secondary and higher education levels. Daniela is currently the coordinator of a project on rupestrian field ecology funded by the Serrapilheira Institute and the Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ), where she serves as a Young Researcher from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She is also the recipient of the 2021 CAPES Thesis Award, recognized as the best thesis in Brazil in the field of Biodiversity.

Ana Paula Lula Costa
AMBASSADOR
Ana Paula is a biologist with a teaching degree from the State University of Maringá (UEM) and holds both a master’s and a PhD in Ecology and Conservation from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC/FIOCRUZ), in the Laboratory of Biology and Parasitology of Wild Mammal Reservoirs. Her research investigates the influence of climate change and natural landscape features on the dynamics of interactions between parasites and their hosts. Her main research interest is understanding how social, economic, and ecological factors have shaped the complex system of zoonotic infectious diseases in humans and wildlife. To this end, she employs quantitative approaches from complex systems, spatial modeling, and machine learning. Ana Paula also serves as Content Coordinator for the Women in Ecology project, which aims to increase the visibility of women working in ecology in Brazil. As an ambassador, she plans to use the project’s social media platforms to disseminate content on open science and reproducibility, as well as to organize courses on data management methods and best practices for building ecological analysis workflows.

Bruna Yasnaia de Souza Oliveira
AMBASSADOR
Bruna is a co-founder and director of the Mancala Institute, holds a PhD in Animal Science, and is a Veterinary Medicine student at UFERSA. A Northeastern Brazilian woman of Indigenous descent, she is dedicated to education, research, and innovation in science and technology to strengthen Black and Indigenous communities.

Daniela da Costa Britto Pereira Lima
AMBASSADOR
Daniela is the Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Education at UFG, a CNPq Productivity Fellow (2025–present), and the leader of the CNPq International Research Network in Distance Education, as well as the Group for Studies and Research in Technologies and Distance Education (GEaD/UFG/CNPq). She is a member of the UNESCO UNITWIN Chair in Unplugged Artificial Intelligence in Education. As a BrRN Ambassador, her project involves promoting scientific reproducibility at UFG through the offering of an extension course and the development of an Open Learning Environment.
