Juliane Cristina Ribeiro Fernandes

AMBASSADOR

Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2017) and PhD in Sciences from the Institute of Tropical Medicine of FMUSP (2018-2023), with a sandwich period at the Center for Metabolomics and Bioanalysis of the CEU San Pablo University, Spain (2021-2022). She works in the areas of Immunology, Immunometabolism, Molecular Biology, Parasitology and Biochemistry. She is currently doing post-doctoral work at the Laboratory of Microbial Pathogenicity and Innate Immunity at FMRP.

Leonardo Uieda

AMBASSADOR

Professor of Geophysics at the University of São Paulo. He uses measurements of small disturbances in the Earth's gravity and magnetic fields to investigate the planet's interior. He develops free scientific software in Python within the Fatiando a Terra project.

Manuela Klanovicz Ferreira

AMBASSADOR

Systems Analyst, she is part of the team responsible for the UFRGS Digital Repository - Lume. She holds a master's degree in Computing and in her doctorate in Communication she developed research related to the contribution of infrastructure to reproducibility and reuse in e-Science.

Leonardo Pinto de Magalhães

AMBASSADOR

He holds a bachelor's degree in Biosystems Engineering from the University of São Paulo (2016), a master's degree in Agricultural Systems Engineering from the University of São Paulo (2018) and a PhD in Agricultural Systems Engineering from the University of São Paulo (2022). He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Federal University of São Carlos. He has experience in Agronomy, with an emphasis on Biosystems Engineering, working mainly on the following topics: computer vision, remote sensing, biosystems engineering and vegetative indices.

Lucas de Carvalho de Amorim

AMBASSADOR

Lucas é doutorando em Ciência Política na UFSC e pesquisador no INCT ReDem. Ele tem interesses em comportamento político, experimentos de survey, programação em R, análise de dados, transparência e reprodutibilidade nas Ciências Sociais. Suas contribuições incluem registro e meta-análise, planos de pré-análise, replicabilidade de pesquisas em Ciências Sociais, uso de linguagens de programação livres e de código aberto para garantia de transparência e reprodutibilidade, além da realização e logística de eventos acadêmicos. Como Embaixador da RBR, Lucas propõe criar um curso sobre Pre-Analysis Plans nas Ciências Sociais e estabelecer um vínculo entre a RBR e as entidades do campo das Ciências Sociais.

Matheus Maciel Alcantara Salles

AMBASSADOR

He works with Evolutionary Biology, being mainly interested in applying machine learning techniques to deal with different biological problems. At the same time, he is dedicated to the progress of Evolutionary Biology in Brazil, being a founding member of the Brazilian Society of Evolutionary Biology and its first director of student affairs. He also works to strengthen scientific practices and transparency in Evolutionary Biology, now acting as an ambassador for the Brazilian Reproducibility Network. In addition, he has a keen interest in science communication and has worked as a creator and reviewer of scientific content for the general public in organizations such as TED and the Nerdologia channel. Apart from the academic world, he loves drinking good wine in the presence of good company and, if you find me in my spare time, be prepared for endless discussions about Tolkien.
